Rhys Enoch hits AMAZING RECOVERY SHOT at Alfred Dunhill Links Championship
Rhys Enoch may not have challenged for the title in Scotland, but he hit one of the shots of the week and possibly the season.
Danny Willett secured his eighth European Tour victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at the weekend, fighting off the likes of Tyrrell Hatton and Shane Lowry.
While the big names of European golf were battling for glory, Rhys Enoch was further down the field and plugging away in tied 39th place.
However, Enoch hit one of the best shots from the week in Scotland and possibly one of the best that you will see all year on the European Tour.
The Welshman found himself in a ditch on the par-5 6th hole at Carnoustie in his second round and it was impossible for him to hit his ball straight at the pin, due to a high slope being in the way.

As you can see from the video, the wind was howling and Enoch could barely see the putting surface, so he needed to get creative with his approach shot.
It is difficult to see Enoch strike his ball and where it flies, but as you can see by where he is aiming, his ball comes out straight to the left.
The 33-year-old hit a huge slice that cut about 80 yards in the air and incredibly, his ball finished about six feet from the pin.

This shot is typical of the type of challenge that you can be faced with on a links course such as Carnoustie, but Enoch conquered that challenge with what was easily one of the shots of the week.
He rolled in his putt for birdie and he went on to finish inside the top-40 on 5-under-par for the week. Enoch is yet to win on the European Tour, his closest call in 2021 came at the Cazoo Classic when he finished in a tie for 13th.
