It was the putt that put the exclamation mark on Europe's demolition job of the United States at the 2018 Ryder Cup - and also one that meant Thomas Bjorn had to sit through a little more pain with his new tattoo of the scoreline

The Ryder Cup was already locked up well before, but Noren drained his 40-foot putt for birdie on the final hole to defeat Bryson DeChambeau in the final match of the Ryder Cup at Le Golf National last year to send the emphatic scoreline to 17.5-10.5...

So with Noren lining up at this week's Open de France, where he is the defending champion, the European Tour thought they would challenge the Swede little more than a year later to see if he could replicate his effort from the exact same position on the green.

We can't be certain this was first take, but we'll give him the benefit of doubt and say it was...

Noren did not get off the best of starts on day one of the Open de France on Thursday with an opening 1-over 72, but he did chip-in for a stunning eagle the par-5 ninth, his final hole of the day...

South Africa's George Coetzee has hit the front early on in the morning wave, and there have also been solid starts from former European Ryder Cup stars Nicholas Colsaerts (4-under par) and Martin Kaymer (3-under par).
