Bryson DeChambeau believes he has left his PGA Tour rivals behind

Bryson DeChambeau believes working on his body every single day during quarantine has given him an edge on his rivals as he looks to land his sixth PGA Tour title at this week's Travelers Championship.

DeChambeau, 26, might not have won a tournament around the world since January 2019, but he tees up at TPC River Highlands today coming off the back of five consecutive top-eight finishes on the PGA Tour.

Armed with newfound power, DeChambeau fancies his chances of adding to his haul of titles on a golf course that allows him to use the driver more often than at last week's tree-lined Harbour Town Golf Links.

"I think this golf course suits me a little bit better," said DeChambeau.

"I can use the length to my advantage on the front nine and there’s a couple of holes on the back nine I can do the same.

"I definitely feel like I can let it go a lot more."

DeChambeau has added more than 25 pounds of mass during the coronavirus lockdown, and believes that is going to give him an advantage over his peers, especially with the majors on the horizon at the end of this year.

"I knew that if I could start working out my body every single day, I’d be better the next day, and other people would be behind," said the World No.11.

"I thought that if I could do that every single day through quarantine, I’d come back a different person, and I did, and I hope that it’s given me an edge."
