Dustin Johnson will not take part in this week's CJ Cup on the PGA Tour after he tested positive for coronavirus.

The recently crowned FedExCup champion was set to make his first start since his T6 finish at the US Open and Johnson would have been hoping to extend his lead in the World Rankings.

The World No.1 was set to be a part of a star-studded field at Shadow Creek and was scheduled to play alongside Jon Rahm and rising star Matthew Wolff.

JT Poston will be taking Johnson's spot in the CJ Cup and Tyrrell Hatton, who won the BMW PGA Championship last week, will replace Johnson in the featured group.

In a statement Johnson said: "Obviously, I am very disappointed. I was really looking forward to competing this week, but will do everything I can to return as quickly as possible.

"I have already had a few calls with the Tour's medical team and appreciate all the support and guidance they have given me."

The CJ Cup was relocated from South Korea's Jeju Island to Shadow Creek in Las Vegas due to travel issues surrounding the coronavirus pandemic and this week mark's the first of back-to-back no cut events.
