FOURBALLS permitted when golf returns in England on March 29

England Golf has confirmed fourballs will be permitted on the course when golf returns in the country on March 29.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Golf has shared an infographic on the England Golf website today that outlines the roadmap for the return to golf.

Each step is highlighted to assist in understanding the change in restrictions during each stage of the government's updated plan to come out of the national lockdown over the coming months.

We have highlighted the important points in each of the steps below.

STEP ONE - MONDAY MARCH 29

Golf courses will reopen in England, and fourballs will be permitted.

Driving ranges will be allowed to reopen providing they are outdoors.

All professional and retail shops must remain closed.

Catering services must remain closed, but takeaway service may be provided.

Outdoor coaching will be permitted on a one-to-one basis, and group coaching will be allowed to the 'Rule of Six' (including coaches and volunteers).

Indoor coaching will not be permitted, and indoor swing studios must remain closed.

Outdoor club fitting will be allowed on a one-to-one basis or to the 'Rule of Six' (including the fitter)

Indoor club fitting will not be permitted.

STEP TWO - MONDAY APRIL 12

All professional and retail shops will be able to reopen.

All indoor and catering facilities must remain closed, but outdoor catering facilities may open, subject to the 'Rule of Six', and takeaway service may also be provided.

All driving ranges will be allowed to reopen.

Indoor coaching will be permitted on a one-to-one basis.

Indoor swing studios will be allowed to reopen for individual use.

Indoor club fitting will be permitted on a one-to-one basis.
