Webb Simpson takes home a fortune with playoff victory over Tony Finau
Webb Simpson birdied the final two holes to force a playoff with Tony Finau and then defeated him with a third consecutive birdie on the first extra hole to win the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
With the wildest hole in golf at TPC Scottsdale, pnlety of golfers enjoyed the thousands in attendcance at the iconic 16th hole, including Rickie Fowler who was loving the atmosphere (scroll down to watch).
Simpson and Finau finished tied on 17-under par, three strokes clear of the chasing pack that included Justin Thomas and Bubba Watson.
The victory marks Simpson's sixth PGA Tour title.
