Just two days after Bio Kim was suspended for THREE YEARS on the Korean Tour for sticking his middle finger up at the crowd on the tee box, defending Open de Espana champion Jon Rahm was spotted reacting angrily to a fan.

As soon as Rahm struck his tee shot with an iron on the par-4 6th hole, the Spaniard turned around, dropped his club to the ground and put his arms out while staring at the spectator in question who had clearly put him off.

Whether it was a camera or just general noise, we're aren't quite sure, but either way Rahm was not a happy bunny as he sent his ball well right into the trees.

Despite the errant tee shot, Rahm went on to make par and then birdied the 8th to finish 5-under par for the opening round to lie three strokes behind little-known round-one leader Kristian Krogh Johannessen.

Rahm, the defending champion, is bidding to become the first player to defend the Open de Espana since England's Max Faulkner in 1953.

The 24-year-old has been playing some fantastic golf this season and holds every chance of winning the European Tour's Race to Dubai as he currently lies in second place behind Open champion Shane Lowry - who is not playing this week.

Prior to last week's missed cut at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, the World No.5 had chalked up nine consecutive finishes of tied 13th or better.

A successful title defence in Spain this Sunday would send Rahm to the top of the Race to Dubai.
