Lucas Glover returns to action on the PGA Tour at The Memorial this week, just two weeks removed from his wife being arrested during The Players Championship following an altercation between her and Glover's mother.

The former US Open champion's wife was arrested on May 13 in Ponte Vedra Beach, the weekend of The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, and charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest without violence.

According to reports, Lucas Glover was called a "pussy" by his wife, who then drunkenly told him she and the kids "would leave him" if he failed to improve his golf game.

"After a few weeks away, I am looking forward to playing in the Memorial," said Glover, via a statement issued to the press.

"My family and I are very appreciative of the support that we’ve received. We again ask for the continued respect for our privacy as we work through this process."

According to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, Krista Glover, 36, attacked and injured Hershey Hendley, Lucas Glover’s mother, and spent the night in the St. Johns County Jail. She was released on $2,500 bond.

A pre-trial hearing for Krista Glover has been set for June 22. She has pleaded not guilty to both charges.

Tiger Woods also returns to action at this week's Memorial Tournament, an event he has won a record five times.
