JASON DAY

Not even his self-professed "horrific" record at Muirfield Village is going to put me off a red-hot Jason Day this week.

Teeing up on his home track, Day's explosive drives, laser-like iron play and scintillating touch on the greens seem like a perfect all-round fit for Jack Nicklaus' Memorial Tournament.

Day, who won the Players Championship in his last start, is bidding to land a fourth PGA Tour title in his last seven starts and remarkably his eighth in his last 17.

The man is on fire, and he's well rested following a two-week break.

Odds: 7/1

HIDEKI MATSUYAMA

We've been tipping Hideki quite a few times this season, but this is the tournament we rate his chances the most.

The Japanese ace, already a winner in Phoenix earlier this season, won the Memorial in 2014 and finished tied fifth in his title defence 12 months ago.

His scoring average here is impeccable at 68.875 over eight rounds, and he has not finished worse than tied 11th in his last four strokeplay starts on the PGA Tour.

He looks certain to contend and will not be frightened of the big three aligning this week in Day, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy.

Odds: 16/1
