You really can't knock Paige Spiranac for her honesty and openness, especially when discussing the trials and tribulations of her past love life.
She is now reportedly married to Functional Training Specialist Steven Tinoco, however, in terms of their public relationship, they keep a very low profile.
Spiranac is very active on her social media pages and this shows by her 3.2 million followers on Instagram. Recently, she answered a question on the popular platform about her worst dating experiences.
Unfortunately for Paige, she had quite a few bad memories to reel off in an Instagram Q&A. She revealed that during her college days, she found it difficult to date boys.
"This guy that I thought was my boyfriend at the time, he introduced me as his friend, and then he took me to Taco Bell, and didn’t even buy me anything. Probably the worst date I have ever been on," said Spiranac on what she judges as her worst date ever.
But she began to describe dates linked to golf. Sadly, it seems that boys used to take advantage of the 28-year-old and use her superb golf ability to get free lessons, with no benefits in return for herself.
"So in college, I had a hard time getting dates, so I used golf as an in and be like, ‘Give you free golf balls, give you lessons'," she added.
"But there was one guy who had a girlfriend, he led me on because his game was getting so much better from all these free lessons and he wanted to keep doing them so yes, he used me for free golf lessons."
"There was also another guy who I really, really liked and he did not like me. I gave him my SDSU (San Diego State University) golf bag and so, he has my golf bag with my name on it. I never got it back and he was never my boyfriend."
Spiranac can put all this behind her now as she is in a happy relationship and has a thriving career. She is an ex-professional golfer and now an ambassador for PointsBet Sportsbook, a bookmaker based in America.
