Mickelson, 48, wrapped up his 44th PGA Tour title to lie ninth in the all-time PGA Tour winners list.

Storms caused an hour delay to the tee times on Sunday morning and then hail thrashed down causing further disruption. When play finally got under way at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, it was Paul Casey and Phil Mickelson who made up the final group of the day, with the pair teeing off 3 hours and 20 minutes later than their scheduled tee time.

Casey was leading the way at 15 under par with Mickelson three strokes back, but it was the American who was in the mood to match Mark O'Meara's five victories in the tournament.

After Casey failed to get up and down on 11 and 12 with back-to-back bogeys, Mickelson raced to the front with back-to-back birdies on 13 and 14. With the light fading away, play was suspended until Monday afternoon with just two holes to play.

As expected, there wasn't much drama on Monday, and Mickelson finished off his round with a birdie at 18 to record a 19-under total and three-stroke victory over the Englishman, who also birdied the final hole.
