Patrick Reed will be at the top of Graeme Storm’s Christmas list, and will probably be receiving an expensive present as well.
The American Ryder Cup talisman will not fulfil the required five events on the European Tour, and therefore forfeits his 2017 card, moving Storm up one spot and earning the 38-year-old a 2017 card.

Storm had a putt to earn his card on the last hole at the Portugal Masters but slid it by, later admitting he had to work hard to keep his emotions in check with the Challenge Tour looming.
The Englishman was 112th in the money list, a mere €100 behind the player in 111th spot, but will now tee it up on Europe’s top Tour for the 12th season running thanks to Reed's decision.
Storm won the 2007 French Open, and was the 1999 British Amateur champion.
