Tiger Woods has confirmed he will return to competitive golf as tournament host of the Hero World Challenge from November 30 to December 3 at Albany, Bahamas.
Woods made his last return to golf in this very tournament last year only to finish third last.
Fresh off appearing in court to plead guilty for reckless driving earlier in the year, the 14-time major champion took to his official website and social media to reveal news of his return to golf.
“I am excited to return to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge,” said Woods.
“Albany is the perfect setting and it will be great to join this outstanding field. I want to thank Pawan Munjal and Hero MotoCorp for their continued support of this tournament and my foundation. I would also like to thank the fans for their unwavering support during my injury.”
Woods also confirmed Daniel Berger received an invite in the 18-man tournament that comprises winners of 22 major championships.
