Matt Wallace has reportedly "cleared the air" with Pete Cowen following the respected golf coach's comments that the World No.23 is a "complete idiot" and "should be banned" for his recent hot-tempered actions on Tour.
GM EXCLUSIVE: TOUR PRO CALLS WALLACE "A SORE LOSER"
Wallace has caused a huge amount of controversy on the European Tour in recent months following a series of club throws, putter stamps in the greens and verbal abuse of his caddie Dave McNeilly.
The Englishman has since apologised for his actions and his team, led by manager and former Tour Pro Chubby Chandler have claimed he is working on his temper issues with an expert.

But Cowen, who is short-game coach to world No.1 Brooks Koepka, said: “He is a complete idiot and the European Tour has to do something about it. A fine is no good. He needs a ban.”
According to reports, Wallace and Cowen met on the practice range on Wednesday and shook hands.
"They’ve now cleared the air, which is good," said Chandler.
"I didn’t really understand why Pete was commenting on a player he really doesn’t know, it’s none of his business, but at least we can now move on. I don’t think it will faze Matt. He’s tough."
Wallace is playing the first two rounds of The Open alongside Tiger Woods and Patrick Reed.
