WATCH: Wes Short Jr receives UNREAL bounce off rock en route to win!

Wes Short Jr's golf game had been fairly rocky for the best part of five years since his last victory on the Champions Tour. That all ended on Sunday evening when the American clinched win #2 after receiving one of the most fortunate bounces of the season.

Short Jr, 55, found himself in a tie for the lead on the par-5 18th as he stood in the middle of the fairway with fairway wood in hand. The American stepped in and struck his ball, but instantly realised he had thinned it. With rocks guarding the green, Short Jr had every right to think he had lived up to his surname and blown his chance of a second victory on the elite senior circuit.

But then THIS happened...

Short Jr went on to two putt for birdie to seal a narrow one-stroke victory over compatriot Scott McCarron at the Shaw Charity Classic on 13-under.

"When I saw it in the air, I was thinking I hope it just carries the water because I know it's not getting to the green," said Short Jr.

The victory marks Short Jr's second on the Champions Tour, five years to the week of his last win at the 2014 Quebec Championship.

Short Jr only won once on the PGA Tour, coming at the 2005 Michelin Championship at Las Vegas.

He became a professional golfer in 1987, and worked as a club pro in the Austin area before becoming a touring pro in 1997.

There have been some other memorable bounces on the PGA Tour over the years - let's take a closer look at some of the best...
