South African Charl Schwartzel won the Tshwane Open by eight shots after a scintillating final round 63.

The 2011 Masters champion birdied four of the final seven holes to finish 16-under par, ahead of runner-up Jeff Winther.

The win was Schwartzel’s 11th on the European Tour, eight of which have come on home soil.

"I played really well all week, but today I thought I was a bit iffy at stages," said the Nike staff player.

"The difference today was I was putted really well. I spent many hours on the putting ground over the last few days, and working with Sherylle last night, I definitely found something."
