Jordan Spieth capped off his spectacular PGA Tour season in style with a commanding four-shot victory at the Tour Championship, earning a $10m (£6.5m) bonus for also winning the FedEx Cup.

The 22-year-old American, who moves back to world number one following his fifth victory of the year, relied upon a full set of Titleist equipment including 915 D2 driver, AP2 irons, SM5 wedges and Pro V1x ball.

But the hottest product in the Under Armour athlete's bag, as has been the case for much of the season, was his 35-inch Scotty Cameron 009 prototype putter - a Tour-only flatstick that he has now wielded for all of his six PGA Tour titles.

For Spieth, who led the field in strokes gained putting (+ 7.036), it is very much a case of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it.'

"The 009 was my favorite putter as a junior golfer," Spieth told the PGA Tour earlier this season.

"Adam Scott and Geoff Ogilvy, two of my favorite golfers, used it, and that got me. I've been using it since I was 15, and I won't be changing anytime soon.

"I realise technology changes, but it feels right for me."

Despite using a set of older Titleist 714 AP2 irons, Spieth has confirmed he will slip into a set of new 716 AP2 irons after the Presidents Cup next month.
