Nike Golf Tour pro Paul Casey has opened the Nike Golf Experience, a unique retail and custom fit facility at the De Vere Belfry’s PGA National Academy.

"It’s great that Nike customers can come to this spectacular facility and have the chance to come through the ‘Nike golf experience’ and leave with the best equipment for their game," said Casey.

"I get asked all the time about the equipment I use, my specifications and my custom fitting process and now the service I get from the guys at our Fort Worth research and development test range is available to everyone here."

Nike says the academy facility, close to where this week’s Quinn Direct British Masters is being staged, an important evolutionary step forward in the development of its golf club business.

The launch of the centre offers golfers the chance to visit an exciting retail and custom fit room to handle the hardware as well as try the latest clothing and footwear. Plasma screens also run Nike’s hottest new advertisements

Among the clubs visitors can be custom-fitted for are the SasQuatch driver and fairway metals, Pro Combo OS and Slingshot OSS irons, Slingshot and CPR III Hybrids and SV wedges.

Using Nike’s launch monitor a golfer can have his or her preferred loft, head style and shaft maximised to their length and accuracy, whether right or left-handed.
