Complimenting the TaylorMade RocketBallz drivers are similarly-branded RBZ fairway metals and RBZ rescue clubs, which the makers claim can deliver significant extra yardage.

“The RocketBallz fairway woods and rescues represent a game-changing breakthrough in performance,” says Toulon. “To hold a RocketBallz metalwood in your hands is to possess confidence, power, speed and distance potential that will re-define the long game for golfers.”

Developments include a lightweight shaft, deeper face and ‘front-low’ centre of gravity on the fairway metals, to help promote up to 17 extra yards for the better player.  A larger, deeper face on the hybrids will encourage faster ball speed, higher launch angle and lower spin-rates, says TaylorMade.

The standard RocketBallz fairway and its Tour version are priced at £179.  Standard lofts are 15, 17, 19, 21 and 24 degrees for right-handers (LH 15, 18 and 21). Tour versions are 13, 14.5 and 18 degrees (RH only).

RocketBallz Rescues (£139) have a 65-gram graphite shaft in four flexes and will be offered in right-handed models only (19, 21, 24 and 27 degrees). Tour Rescues are 16.5, 18.5, 21.5 deg (RH only).
