Few players could have crammed more into their golfing life than Sam Torrance. Son of golf professional Bob Torrance, coach to back-to-back Open champion Padraig Harrington, Sam joined the paid ranks at the age of 16.
Twenty-one European Tour victories later and now aged 54, he shares his time between the Seniors circuit and commentating for BBC television.
He's also an ambassador for VisitScotland and after guiding Europe to Ryder Cup Victory at The Belfry in 2002 was awarded the OBE by the Queen the following year, to add to his previous MBE (1996) for service to golf.
Sam is one of the game's great raconteurs and now Golfmagic, in association with VisitScotland, is offering one lucky GM member - and a partner - the chance to meet him, play golf with him and enjoy listening to his stories in an exclusive dinner at the 5-star Fairmont St Andrews hotel on September 8/9.
The prize includes a two night break at the hotel, champagne reception and places in the Sam Torrance Cup competition.
