England's Simon Dyson is a serious contender for the 2000 Davidoff Tour Order of Merit title following the conclusion of the Volvo China Open on Sunday.
The 22-year-old Dyson, who became only the third man to secure back-to-back wins with victories in China and at the previous week's Macau Open, jumped from eighth position to second place with total earnings of US$113,363. The Yorkshireman, who pocketed US$72,000 in Shanghai, trails current leader Yeh Wei-tze of Taiwan by US$32,376 after seven events this season.
Dyson's world ranking has also seen a huge leap following two great weeks in his rookie season. After moving into the world ranking for the first time in 515th place following the win at the Macau Open, he has now moved up a further 119 places to 396th in the latest ranking.
