Goosen leads in Atlanta

Mickelson and Bjorn chase South African in BellSouth Classic

With 14 holes to play, South African Retief Goosen holds a slender lead in the BellSouth Classic at Sugarloaf near Atlanta.

The US Open champion dropped a shot in his opening four holes after rounds of 68, 69, 68 gave him a two stroke advantage on 14 under par after three rounds in this US Masters curtain-raiser.

Phil Mickelson is on 12 under par with Canadian Mike Weir and Dane Thomas Bjorn in a chasing group on 10 under par with five holes played in the last round.

Padraig Harrington and Colin Montgomerie have each dropped two shots to be on -7 and -5 respectively, approaching the turn.
