Daly to meet top qualifiers

Carl Wolter, a 26-year-old Pennsylvania schoolteacher will be matched against John Daly in the Pinnacle LDA Tour Championship on November 9 – the event to find the world’s longest driver of a golf ball.

Making his first appearance in the RE/MAX world finals qualifier this week at Mesquite, Texas, he smoked his ball 384 yards one-foot-three-inches to win the first prize of $80,000.

Together with Kevin Blenkhorn from Alabama, who hit 372 yards, he now goes forward to take on Daly – PGA Tour average 305 yards – and 14 qualifiers from the Pinnacle Tour.
