The Oceânico World Kids Golf Championship is expecting its biggest ever turnout when it welcomes young golfers from across the globe to hone their skills over the Oceânico Faldo and Oceânico O’Connor Jnr courses from July 23 to 27.
With a variety of age groups for boys and girls between the ages of seven and 18, competition categories are determined by both age and gender, producing a championship as comprehensive as any on the golfing calendar.
Youngsters aged ten and over will compete over 18 holes on each of the three competition days, while those under ten will play nine holes. Each tournament at the Amendoeira Golf Resort in Portugal will count the player’s gross score and prizes will be awarded for the first three in each age category for both boys and girls.
“We’re excited about the fourth successive Oceânico World Kids Golf Championship, which will be our biggest and best to date,” says Oceânico Golf’s CEO Chris Stilwell.
“Sign-ups so far have been overwhelming and I strongly encourage those who haven’t done so already, to do so soon to avoid disappointment.”
