Charlie Beljan

Beljan produced one of the most courageous victories in PGA Tour history last week in the season finale when overcoming a health scare to earn a two-year exemption.

Despite shooting a round of 64 to take the 36-hole lead on Friday, the American was warned by doctors to not play golf on the weekend due to an elevated heart rate and shortness of breath.

But with his career on the line, the 28-year-old picked himself up and claimed a two-shot lead – a victory that ensured he finished 63rd on the official money list. He also became the first player ever to enter the Disney event outside the automatic top-125 and win the tournament to earn his card.

The big-hitting American, who picked up three top-ten finishes, also ended the year second behind Bubba Watson in the driving distance charts, averaging 311.6 yards off the tee.
