REGARDED by many as one of the best putters currently on Tour, as reflected by his domineering World No.1 position, Rory McIlroy did the unthinkable at the BMW Championship on Saturday when four-putting from four feet and five inches at the 12th hole, watch video above.
Twenty four hours later and the four-time major champion, who won the Open and PGA Championship this year, took four putts once more at the 12th but this time from 19 feet when making double bogey on Sunday, see image right.

“It’s not my worst,” said McIlroy. “I’ve had five-putts before. It’s one of those things. At least I can laugh about it and move on.”
With a pair of pars at the 12th over the weekend, McIlroy would have finished solo second, a shot behind Billy Horschel.
Despite his minor blip on the greens at the weekend, the 25-year-old Ulsterman has every chance to end his exceptional season in style by landing the lucrative $10 million FedEx Cup at this week's Tour Championship, where he currently sits fourth in the standings.
