Paige Spiranac EXCITED about seeing Tiger Woods back at PNC Championship

Popular social media golfer Paige Spiranac is excited to see Tiger Woods back at the PNC Championship with his son Charlie.

Much like many of us, Spiranac revealed her disbelief that just nine months after his car crash in Ranchos Palos Verdes, Woods is back playing competitively again.

The 15-time major champion ruled out a full-time return to the PGA Tour in his press conference last week at the Hero World Challenge. 'Hit and giggle' rounds would only be on the cards.

Last December, Woods and his son Charlie competed at the PNC Championship alongside Justin Thomas and his father Mike. The Woods and Thomas families are very close, so these could be the events that suit Tiger for now.

Spiranac, who is a former professional golfer, took to social media and tweeted her delight at the prospect of Woods returning to the PGA Tour for the first time since The Masters in November 2020.

"I can’t believe we get to see Tiger play again and with his son. It’s going to be really special. I’m excited," tweeted Spiranac.

The popular figure on social media has gained an impressively large following of 3.2 million on Instagram and 485,000 on Twitter.

Last year, Charlie was extremely impressive at the tournament in 2020. He holed putts, hit drives and strutted around the course in the same way his father used to do week-in-week-out on the PGA Tour.

He may well do again one day, but after surgery on open fractures in his right leg and narrowly avoiding amputation, we should be grateful that we have any form of Tiger back on the course.

Woods said he "couldn't be more proud" to be able to play alongside his son. Major champions such as Lee Trevino, Sir Nick Faldo and Nick Price are also playing in the tournament which starts on December 18.
