As the wind gets up and temperatures take a dive it's time to wrap up warm for the golf course. And ProQuip, one of the approved suppliers to the European Ryder Cup team, has come up with new, innovative products from which we can all benefit, including wind tops and knitwear.
Aimed at both male and female golfers is the Wind 360 range, featuring four-way stretch fabrics that are both lightweight and breathable as well as water-repellant. And with anti-crease technology it makes them ideal for packing into your bag in case of occasional showers.
This half-zip, windproof playing top for men is available (S-XXXL) in a range of colours including navy, iron grey, black and bright blue, priced at £69.
For women, the Isla TourFlex Wind 360 is specially designed as a full-zip jacket which is also machine washable, can be tumble-dried and ironed.
The soft, lightweight jacket has a slim-fit design, using four-way stretch material so as not to hamper the golf swing. The fabric is breathable and water-repellant to keep golfers dry in light showers.
Available in XS-XXL, the Isla Wind 360 comes in purple, cyan blue, black and white.
Completing the range are Julia (crew-neck) and Olivia (V-neck) water-repellent knitwear for women in lambswool - machine washable and 'tumble-dryer friendly.'
Priced at £49 (S-XXL) and available in black, navy, linen, purple, orchid and bluebell, it's designed in colours that complement ProQuip's other lines for women, including the Grace Tourflex 360 and Isla Tourflex Wind 360.
ProQuip's general manager Russell Brooks says: “Some golfers prefer not to wear a waterproof jacket in light showers so our water-repellent knitwear is ideal.
“And the contemporary slim fit design of the Wind 360 ensures that when the weather starts to blow, the garment doesn’t billow and interfere with the golf swing.
