Fred Couples will stroll into his 25th season in the comfort of Ashworth Golf apparel as the company leads a massive expansion of its 2012 Tour team.

The laidback American, who lines up at the Emirates Golf Club for this week’s Dubai Desert Classic, has adorned the Ashworth shirt across the line for 15 PGA Tour titles, including the 1992 Masters, as well as six Champions Tour events. And Couples admits it was love at first sight.

“I have been wearing Ashworth on the pro circuit since the introduction to the Ashworth brand because of the comfort and style.

“Each year, they continue to improve the quality and look. I am excited to continue being a part of such a popular golf brand.”

More than 30 new brand ambassadors from the PGA, Nationwide and Champions Tours would appear to have taken note, including 2012 Sony Open champion Johnson Wagner, Paul McGinley, Rory Sabbatini and 1997 Open champion Justin Leonard.

Leonard, like Couples, has a unique history with the brand and is excited to be back with his heritage.

“Ashworth has come such a long way and the new apparel is phenomenal in the way it performs, fits and feels,” said the twelve-time PGA Tour champion.
