Galvin Green is expanding its Windstopper range, claiming no other garment is better suited to regular golf in terms of balancing the individual microclimate effectively for maximum comfort on the course.

The emphasis is on providing lightweight ultra-thin, yet highly breathable clothing that protects the golfer from the worst of the elements and makes it easier to play.

Given how much golf is played in windy conditions, the new Windstopper collection, says the brand, is made to measure for regular golfers. It includes the Burns (RRP £159; pictured) half-zip and Berkley (RRP £149) short-sleeved half-zip jackets in a Soft Shell lightweight fabric that’s extremely quiet, yet totally windproof and effective against windchill.

Next up, Gore-Tex Paclite...
