If you start the swing poorly, odds are you’ll struggle to recuperate. Loads of players start their swing by taking the club inside instantly, making it almost impossible to come down on plane. 

To remedy this, make a conscious effort to start you clubhead moving straight back from the ball, rather than coming inside.

When practicing, you could even place something straight behind your ball that you have to hit when starting your backswing.
