8. Bulwell Forest Golf Club

Bulwell Forest is one of the shorter courses around at just 5,726 yards, although this fact is very much reflected in the price. The standard green fees are great value - starting at just £5, and discounted rates are often available on top of this. It is also a walkable distance from Bulwell station for those without a car.

9. Beeston Fields Golf Club

Designed in 1923 by Tom Williamson, Beeston Fields now plays 6,430 yards and is usually kept in very good condition. The course is a few hundred metres away from Beeston station, just a few miles out of the city centre.

10. Ruddington Grange Golf Club

Ruddington's 6,515-yard, par-72 parkland course has undergone many changes and transformations since opening in 1988, with over 5,000 trees being planted in that time. Eight of the holes feature water hazards, ensuring golfers have to plot their way around the course very carefully. Great value for money.
