Mottram Hall – good deal

We’ve discovered there are some great deals to be had if you’re looking for a golf break in the next few weeks. We've already identified a handful in a recent feature, now here’s more to whet your appetite.

During July and August the De Vere Mottram Hall (tel: 01625 828 135), set in 125 acres of Cheshire parkland near Prestbury, is offering dinner, B&B plus two rounds of golf for £125 per person, based on two sharing. And in August the hotel, which has its own 18-hole course, is charging £47 for a one night mid-week stop-over (Monday to Thursday) including breakfast and golf.

If you’re planning a day out with the lads (or girls) it’ll cost you £40 apiece at Mottram for coffee and bacon rolls, 18 holes and a carvery to follow. But there must be a minimum of ten of you.

Throughout August, The De Vere Belfry (08709 00 00 66) is offering a £50-off deal, with its one-night Brabazon package, costing £149. Price includes breakfast, three-course dinner, 18 holes on The Brabazon course and use of the leisure facilities and is based on two sharing a standard or twin room.

Non-golfers pay just £69 (a £20 saving). The package is available Sunday through to Friday.
