"Tiger Woods will miss the cut at the Masters"

They may be a little later than planned and lack the atmosphere that we asssociate with them, but golf's major championships are fast approaching and there's plenty of action to look forward to.

In this episode of the GolfMagic chat show, we make some early predictions for the three major tournaments that are still going ahead this year. Watch the chat show in the video below and comment your predictions on our YouTube channel!

DUSTIN JOHNSON TO WIN US OPEN

GolfMagic editor Andy Roberts has gone with Dustin Johnson to win the US Open as his first major prediction.

The US Open heads to Winged Foot in New York in September and Andy believes it is the perfect track for DJ to win what would only be his second major title.

Johnson has 21 wins on the PGA Tour, including his only major win which came at the 2016 US Open.

Performing well at major championships is the norm for Johnson, who has come second either on his own or in a tie on four occasions, two of which came last year at the US PGA Championship and The Masters.

With Johnson's putting vastly improving, Andy thinks it is only a matter of time before major No.2 for DJ.

COLLIN MORIKAWA TO FINISH IN TOP 10 IN ALL THREE MAJORS

GolfMagic equipment editor Jack Seddon has picked Collin Morikawa to break the top 10 in all three majors as his first prediction.

Morikawa has been in incredible form since turning professional, with more victories (2) than missed cuts (1) helping him to climb to 13th in the World Rankings.

The 23-year-old has only played in one major so far in his career where he finished T35 at the US Open last year and with his incredible iron ability, Jack thinks that Morikawa will put on excellent performances at three courses that really suit his game in Harding Park, Winged Foot and Augusta.

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU TO WIN THE MASTERS

Bryson DeChambeau to win The Masters and possibly break the all-time low-scoring record whilst doing so is Andy's next prediction, with the current record at 18-under par set by Tiger Woods in 1997 and equalled by Jordan Spieth in 2015.

Andy believes that DeChambeau will not only win The Masters, but thinks the win will take the 26-year-old to the World No.1 spot.

DeChambeau's new-found distance helped him win the Rocket Mortgage Classic recently for his sixth PGA Tour win and Andy thinks that if DeChambeau can improve his wedge game by November, the big-hitting American is destined for the green jacket.

TIGER WOODS TO MISS THE CUT AT THE MASTERS

It received quite the reaction during the chat show, but Jack's second prediction is for Tiger Woods to miss the cut at The Masters in November.

Woods shocked the world (except Jack who selected Woods in last year's Masters betting tips) when Woods won his 15th major title at Augusta in 2019, but Jack thinks that he won't even make the weekend as he looks to defend it later this year.

He hasn't missed a cut at The Masters since 1996, but Jack thinks that without spectators, Woods will struggle to use the atmosphere to his advantage and that the colder weather in November compared to The Masters' usual April date will have a serious effect on Woods' injury-prone back.
