Rory McIlroy will reportedly have "best friend" Harry Diamond on the bag for this week's WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and next week's US PGA Championship.
News yesterday broke that McIlroy had sacked his long-time caddie of nine years JP Fitzgerald, with whom he won four majors, two WGCs, money list titles and Ryder Cups alongside.
Diamond, who caddied for McIlroy at the 2014 Alfred Dunhill Links, is apparently a "successful businessman" who owns multiple bars and clubs in Northern Ireland.
He has been friends with McIlroy for the best part of 25 years, having grown up together in Holywood, and he was also best man at McIlroy's wedding to Erica Stoll.

As for McIlroy's permanent caddie, we will learn more shortly.
McIlroy returns to action at this week's WGC-Bridgestone at Firestone following his improved tie for fourth at the Open Championship.
