Nelly Korda, in a display of sheer dominance, clinched her second major title and extended her winning streak to an impressive five victories on the LPGA Tour at the Chevron Championship.

Korda, 25, has been in unstoppable form this season and finished the week two shots clear of Sweden's Maja Stark, having carded rounds of 68, 69, 69 and 69 to finish 13-under.

The final round on Sunday was a nail-biter. Korda started one shot behind Ryu Hae-ran . However, the world No.1 quickly closed the gap, capitalising on some early errors from the South Korean.

A three-under final round in tough, windy conditions was enough to win the tournament. It brought to an end a marathon day for Korda, who had to play 25 holes on Sunday due to inclement weather postponing the third round.

Four birdies in her first ten holes allowed the American to take a lead at the top of the leaderboard. Despite two bogeys on the back nine and a late surge from Stark, Korda was able to retain her lead and clinch the win.

Korda'a victory marks her fifth in a row on the LPGA Tour this season, a feat only achieved twice before by Nancy Lopez (1978) and Annika Sorenstam (2005).

Korda clinched the title at the LPGA Drive On Championship in January, followed by an impressive streak of wins spanning three consecutive weeks from late March to early April at the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship, Ford Championship, and T-Mobile Match Play.

Securing her 13th career victory, Korda not only added another milestone to her impressive record but also claimed the title of the quickest player to reach $2,000,000 in single-season earnings on the LPGA Tour.

Looking ahead, Korda is poised to make history once again as she gears up to vie for a new LPGA Tour record: winning six consecutive tournaments at the upcoming JM Eagle LA Championship.
