Keegan Bradley was rarely in the conversation for a Ryder Cup wildcard pick heading into the BMW Championship last week, but you would still expect him to have realised when Jim Furyk's final hand was going to be played.

Despite going on to land his first PGA Tour title in six years with playoff victory over new World No.1 Justin Rose, there was a brief moment when Bradley thought he could still earn a wildcard if he went and won the season-ending Tour Championship in two weeks' time - just five days before the Ryder Cup tees off at Le Golf National.

"Listen, I wasn’t on their radar before this," said Bradley, who played in the 2012 and 2014 US Ryder Cup teams.

"I still probably have to go win Atlanta, and even then, I don’t know. Who knows, if I go win Atlanta or do something great, maybe I’ll catch the eye of the guys."

Among whispers in the media room of 'shall I tell him, or you?', Bradley continued but did pay respect to eventual wildcard pick Tony Finau

"Tony Finau and those guys have played so great all year. I’m playing good, and I’d love to help the team. But I think the chances of that are pretty unlikely."
