New crazy golf venue 'Gloryholes' opens for business in Nottingham...
A brand new 'adults only' crazy golf venue by the name of 'Gloryholes' - featuring sex toys - has opened for play in Nottingham.
The 18-hole mini-golf course features a number of interesting obstacles to overcome such as pool tables, cupcakes, glittery golden toilet seats, whales, aliens, Donald Trump's head and a number of different sex toys.
Following a six-month delay to open its doors to the public as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the venue is now finally open and it comes complete with a clubhouse diner and bar, according to Nottinghamshire Live.
The new course is the brainchild of Dan Brown, who told the website how his Curious Design Company has collected a number of wacky props over the years from reclamation yards, antiques and auctions.
"The whale was damaged goods so we got it from a guy down south and repaired it," Dan told Nottinghamshire Live.
"It is a place for adults and not for those easily offended but there's nothing too bad."
Dan's business partner Drew Hewitt said: "It's even better than I thought it would be. Having another six months allowed us to have more ideas to make it as fun as possible.
"It's perfect for hens and stags, date nights and friends. We are trying to make it as Covid-friendly as possible. We are limiting it to groups of four and there is adequate time before the next groups tee off so there's no loitering at holes."
The experience would appear somewhat similar to that of Junkyard Golf, which GolfMagic has experienced numerous times over the years in Shoreditch, London, in that you can also order cocktails before or after your round of golf.
'Gloryholes' is also decked out with booths, arcade games and air hockey, along with Barack Obama sitting on a Chesterfield sofa... just because.
The club's 19th Hole is just across the road at the Curious Tavern and all golfers are given 10% off their first round of drinks just by showing their scorecard at the bar from Sunday to Thursday.
It's open seven days a week with an introductory offer of £10 per person to play in the week and £12 at weekends. There are also special deals for play on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
