Method 001

The Method 001 is a fantastic looking putter from a brand who are all too aware of the importance of appearance.

It has the look of a traditional blade but has more rounded edges when compared to other leading blades which gives it a boxier look.

Nike has also been wary of stamping too much on the putter which gives it an appealing, clean look.

The Polymetal Groove Technology design on the face of the putter looks classy and the small Nike tick sitting on the edge of the face in understated.

Nike has employed I single dot on the top of the putter as an alignment aid and I was disappointed by this as I prefer a full line as I find it much easier to use.

This putter delivers a gorgeous feel. The Polymetal Groove Technology produces a soft feel but somehow it also gives fantastic feedback allowing me to judge distances perfectly.

It’s perfectly weighted and comes through square at impact with ease. The ball seems to roll end-over-end straight off the bat and I didn’t experience any hops or skids. 

Verdict

A putter which challenges the best on the market. The insert gives a soft feel but it also provides enough feedback to judge distances.
