LIV Golf individual standings 2026: Who is leading the way?
LIV Golf individual standings 2026: Check out who is leading the way on the Saudi Arabia-backed league this season.
Bryson DeChambeau narrowed the gap at the top of LIV Golf's individual standings by defeating Jon Rahm in a playoff during the league's first-ever event in South Africa.
For the second consecutive week, the American prevailed in a sudden-death playoff after finding himself tied with the Spaniard on 26 under par after 72 holes of action in Johannesburg.
DeChambeau prevailed on the first extra hole, setting up a tap-in birdie after hitting one of the shots of his career to clinch his fifth overall victory on the PIF-backed league.
The 32-year-old American broke down in tears, claiming that "a lot had happened" in his life recently. "Golf is a fickle game," he said. "You work so hard at it your whole life and then you realise golf is just golf."
It means DeChambeau now trails Rahm in the individual standings by 102.1 points.
Rahm has been in fine form this season, finishing runner-up on three occasions and capturing his first individual title for more than two years at LIV's stop in Hong Kong.
Elsewhere, Elvis Smylie, Anthony Kim, Thomas Detry, Thomas Pieters, Richard Lee, Peter Uihlein, Abraham Ancer and Branden Grace round out the top 10.
Kim was relegated last season but earned his spot back via their "Promotions" event in January. The following month, Kim secured his first win in more than 12 years at their stop in Adelaide.
Australia's Smylie, 23, won LIV's curtain-raiser in Riyadh.
At the other end of the table, several high-profile players will be concerned with their start to the season and are in danger of being relegated.
Former Masters champion Bubba Watson and European Ryder Cup legend Ian Poulter are in the drop zone. As is former world number one Martin Kaymer.
Phil Mickelson is also in the drop zone, but the six-time major champion has been reduced to one appearance this season after taking some time out from professional golf to attend a private family health matter.
In the team standings, Cameron Smith's all-Australian Ripper GC lead the way, followed by Dustin Johnson's 4Aces and DeChambeau's Crushers.
