Nelly Korda will take a five-shot lead into the final round of the first women's major of the year in Houston.
The American, 27, shot consecutive rounds of seven-under 65 on Thursday and Friday to build a six-shot lead at the Chevron Championship.
Korda mixed four birdies and two bogeys in a third-round two-under 70 to reach 16-under.
Thailand's Patty Tavatanakit is Korda's nearest challenger and went round Memorial Park Golf Club in 69 strokes on moving day and is on 11-under.
England's Charley Hull made a solid move up the leaderboard on Saturday but is 11 strokes adrift of Korda in a share of 12th with five other players.
Lexi Thompson is also inside the top-10 on six-under.
The American, 31, announced last season that she was retiring from playing a full-time schedule and is only playing her second event of the season.
Korda is looking to win her third major title since winning this event in 2024.
Her other major victory was the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
Korda is currently ranked second in the women's world golf rankings.
She began the year in fine form, winning on her first start of the calendar year at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.
Korda also registered three further runner-up finishes.
