Lottie Wood 'proud' to join same brand as Rory McIlroy
LPGA star Lottie Woad has confirmed she's put pen to paper on a new deal with FM, the same company that sponsors Rory McIlroy.
LPGA rookie sensation Lottie Woad has signed a new sponsorship deal with FM, the commercial property insurer that also backs Rory McIlroy.
The partnership sees England's Woad, 21, become the latest FM brand ambassador ahead of the 2026 season, joining McIlroy and fellow LPGA Tour player Megan Khang on the company’s growing golf roster.
As part of the deal, Woad will wear FM’s logo on the front of her hat at all LPGA and global events.
Woad's first outing under the new partnership will come at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, starting Thursday 13 November, where she’ll also take part in selected FM client and employee events.
News of the deal was first confirmed on social media by Sports Business Journal's Josh Carpenter.
"Becoming part of the FM team as their newest ambassador is incredibly exciting," said Woad.
"FM’s focus on resilience and performance aligns closely with my values, and I’m proud to represent a brand that’s so committed to supporting women’s golf and the next generation of athletes."

FM says the move fits with its broader strategy of partnering with professional golfers and sporting organisations to promote science-based approaches to risk management and inspire students and young professionals in technical and engineering fields.
Woad turned professional earlier this year and immediately made headlines by winning the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open — her debut event as a pro.
The England native’s rapid rise has made her one of the most exciting young players on the LPGA.

FM’s growing footprint in golf
FM has been making serious moves in golf over the past two years.
The company struck a five-year deal with the LPGA in late 2023 to host the FM Championship, then signed Khang as an ambassador in early 2024.
In September 2024, FM became a partner of Boston Common Golf, one of six teams in TGL presented by SoFi.
TGL is the brainchild of both McIlrouy and 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, alongside their TMRW Sports co-founder Mike McCarley.
Four months later, the insurer inked a multi-year deal with PGA Tour superstar McIlroy, who displays the FM logo on his golf bag and appears at company events.
McIlroy — a co-founder of TGL and co-owner of Boston Common Golf with Fenway Sports Group — completed the career grand slam with his Masters win in April 2025.
FM’s growing presence reflects a wider trend among insurers using golf’s global reach to boost brand visibility and community engagement.
Other big names in the space include:
- Zurich Insurance – Title sponsor of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans
- AIG – Sponsor of the AIG Women’s Open and LPGA partner
- Mutual of Omaha – Sponsor of Bryson DeChambeau
- Allianz – Supporter of senior and European golf events
- Travelers – Title sponsor of the Travelers Championship
With Lottie Woad now on board, FM’s commitment to golf — and especially to the women’s game — looks stronger than ever.
