One of the golfers playing for the PGA Tour who demanded more information about the North American circuit's ongoing negotiations with Saudi Arabia's PIF and private equity investment has withdrawn after being encouraged to publicly by his brother.

Wesley Bryan was among 21 Tour members listed in a letter sent to the Tour's policy board demanding answers.

Former Masters champion Danny Willett was also one of the players involved.

The letter was sent on 10 December which was the same date in which the PGA Tour announced the circuit was in advanced talks with potential investors, including Fenway Sports Group.

According to a statement on the tour's official website, the policy board also made it clear negotiations with LIV Golf's financiers, the PIF of Saudi Arabia, will continue.

"The board has recently received multiple bids by prospective capital partners that will potentially transform how the PGA Tour operates, who controls it and who owns it," attorney Jacob Buchdahl wrote on behalf of the players.

He continued: "All but a handful of PGA Tour players have been kept entirely in the dark about the prospective transaction, how it will impact them, and what conflicts of interest impact the decision makers.

"We demand full disclosure of the details and analyses of any proposals by prospective capital partners, which should be shared promptly with all Tour players."

Bryan is a one-time PGA Tour winner. That victory came at the 2017 RBC Heritage and since his career has suffered owing to several injury problems.

It wouldn't be unreasonable to suggest the 33-year-old sits in the category as a 'rank-and-file' member.

His older brother George, who documents his professional golf career on YouTube channel BryanBros, noticed his brother's name on the letter and demanded he take action.

And swiftly.

George wrote on X: "Come on Wes. Seriously?! You are better than this and you 100% are pulling your name off this awful list or this will become George Bryan Golf!!"

Wesley then replied, saying he had done so.

He explained: "This was a mistake and I appreciate you and your guidance. Being totally serious, [I] just sent email removing myself from this. My apologies."
