WM Phoenix Open prize money: Check out who how much Chris Gotterup won for claiming his fourth PGA Tour title at TPC Scottsdale.
America's Chris Gotterup claimed his fourth PGA Tour title at the WM Phoenix Open.
The 26-year-old American won the people's open in Arizona after defeating Hideki Matsuyama in a play-off.
Former Masters champion Matsuyama, 33, had the tournament in his hands but dropped a shot on the 72nd hole to fall back.
He then found a watery grave with his tee shot in the sudden death play-off, but it mattered not as Gotterup sealed victory in style with an electric birdie.
Gotterup was close to tears as he secured his fourth PGA Tour title and first since he claimed the curtain-raising Sony Open in January.
He also walked away with his fair share of prize money. The 2026 edition of the WM Phoenix Open had a total purse of $9.6m.
Gotterup walked away with a cheque for $1,728,000, whilst Matsuyama earned $1,046,400.
