TaylorMade introduces Ghost Spider S

The legendary Ghost Spider franchise delivers again with one of the most stable putters on Tour

TaylorMade introduces Ghost Spider S

TaylorMade says it has created its most stable putter yet with the new Ghost Spider S.

The brand claims its exciting new Ghost Spider S, as currently wielded by Australian ace Jason Day, former PGA champion YE Yang and European Ryder Cup star Peter Hanson, is revolutionary in terms of control and feel.

Following extensive Tour testing, TaylorMade discovered the Ghost Spider S delivers an off-the-charts moment of inertia measurement of 6,000, which is dramatically higher than TaylorMade’s other mallet putters, including the Ghost Manta (4,900) and Corza Ghost (3,830).

This exceptionally high MOI makes the Ghost Spider S extremely stable on off-centre hits and also makes it easier to control the head and square the face to the ball at impact – something that is consistently requested by TaylorMade’s Tour pros.

“Ghost Spider S isn’t an evolution in mallet performance, it’s a revolution,” says TaylorMade’s product line manager for putters and wedges Michael Fox.

“To create it, we started with the DNA of our most successful putter franchise and applied more than a year of obsessive feedback from our toughest customers - our Tour staff professionals.

“In terms of the two most critical aspects of putting – alignment and stability – the Ghost Spider S is the complete package.

“We’re confident that Tour pros and amateurs who favour a mallet will want to explore Ghost Spider S because the performance benefits are impossible to ignore.”

The Ghost Spider S has a multi-material head (aluminium and steel), featuring a white-coloured steel-frame perimeter and top-line with a new Tour-inspired, non-transition black crown that generates improved accuracy.

Ghost Spider S will be available from October 1 in a standard single bend hosel and Tour-inspired short slant hosel at RRP £149, as well as a belly model at RRP £179.
