Tony Finau is now a five-time winner on the PGA Tour after he comfortably won the Cadence Bank Houston Open by four shots at Memorial Park.
If you created a form table of players on the PGA Tour from the last six months, it would be hard to keep Tony Finau from the top spot.
Rory McIlroy would have something to say about this no doubt, with his wins at the FedEx Cup finale and the CJ Cup, but Finau is experiencing a rather imperious patch of his career.
After making four birdies on the front nine, the 33-year-old took an incredible eight-shot lead into the back nine. This allowed him to make three bogeys without having to look over his shoulder.
He tapped in for a final-round 69 to seal the deal by four shots and it was the third win in his last seven starts on the Tour. It is also the fourth win in his last 30 starts.
Finau didn't think he "had it in him" at the beginning of the last round at Memorial Park. Perhaps he was being modest. It was great to see the popular American embrace his family after another victory.

"I think I said it on air right after I finished, when I teed off this morning I felt a little off, honestly. You know, it's not easy sleeping on the lead. I just, I didn't know if I had it in me, but you just take it a shot at a time," Finau said.
"I thought that -just kind of settled me in and I was able to make some big putts on 8 and 9 just to kind of open up this tournament. Really pleased with the performance overall and especially my putting, that was quite a clinic out there over the week."
