This year's PGA Show was as impressive as ever, with the industry's leading brands showing off what they have to come for 2019. This year's tech products were a particular highlight and GolfMagic has listed our top 5 tech products that we saw at the show.

1. SkyCaddie SX500

SkyCaddie has changed the game in handheld GPS devices with the SX500. Preloaded with over 35,000 course maps, that SkyCaddie has ground-verified without the use of satelites, meaning every course has been measured and walked out on foot! With a 5" touch screen colour HD display, that doesn't glare even on the brightest of days, the SX500 is simple to navigate and packed with gamechanging features. The HoleVue feature allows the user to see a range of layup targets and the distances to each of them, with the option to pinpoint an area of the fairway to target, to see layup, yardage into the green, and also the amound of run out space from your target to the rough. With IntelliGreen technology, the exact shape of the green automatically rotates to match your angle of approach, providing all of the distances you need, plus the proprietary feature provides front carry and back distances, depth of green, and distances to any other point on the green.

2. PuttView Training Aid

This one was a great one to see at the PGA Show. Bryson DeChambeau has praised PuttView as a brilliant training aid to help you with your putting and if it's good enough for Bryson, then it's good enough for us! PuttView calculates your ideal putting line and projects it onto the green for you to see, based on the slop of the green and the desired putting speed. The line will remain in sight as you putt and a new line will follow your ball as you attempt the putt, showing you the line you have taken, helping you learn from your mistakes. PuttView technology can be used indoors and outdoors and is already being used by SkySports.

We were absolutely wowed by this one. Garmin has been producing incredible GPS devices for years but this one is a true gamechanger. The Garmin Approach G80 is the first all-in-one premium handheld GPS device with an integrated launch monitor, allowing you to track club head speed, ball speed, smash factor, swing tempo and estimated distance to help you improve your shot consistency and play a better tactical game. Equipped with multiple game and practice modes and more than 41,000 preloaded courses worldwide. After using it on the range to get all the stats you need about your ball striking, the Approach G80 can be taken straight out onto the course to measure shot distance, as well as a pin-point feature to select any part of the hole to find your distance. There is also the option for PlaysLike distances, which can be turned off during a tournament, where your distances will include how the slopes of the hole affect your shot.
