Favourite Hole

Favourite Hole – 18th hole, par 4 (419 off the blues)

A beautiful hole which is all about the drive. With water running the entire way down the left side of the fairway and bunkers protecting the right side, you need to find the short stuff off the tee.

It’s risk and reward off the tee as the longer your drive, the narrower the hole becomes but the shorter your approach will be.

A short drive will leave you a long approach into a narrow green which is protected well by water but if you can get one out there over 250 and closer to 300, a short pitch awaits you.

The pin is often stationed at the front left section of the green, which can be nerve racking as the water is perilously close, but you should be able to go straight at it to set up a birdie putt.

If your approach leaves you in the middle or at the back of the green then you will be left with a long, undulating putt which will be hard to judge.
