Summary: MP A-Series putters combine a lush black IP finish with bevelled white top edge to make their classic shapes easier to align. MP Series putters are forged from mild carbon steel, then CNC milled to ensure exact alignment and a flawless profile at address. The CNC milling process allows the face thickness to be tuned for the perfect feel. A consistent roll is enabled through a further milling to process to apply simple score lines to the face.

Looks: Majority of testers thought the top edge marking, parallel to the face, created a strong alignment. No glare issues in the sun. Eight testers said they liked the short flow neck profile at address as well as the white topline alignment bevel that becomes noticeable at address. 3.3 (out of 5)

Feel: One of the best feeling putters in this mallet test, primarily down to the CNC milling process. Majority of testers experienced a solid, yet soft feeling and pure rolling putter. Nice WINN grip to reduce hand action through impact. 7.3 (out of 10)

Performance: Few putts finished short of the hole. There's a consistent, pure roll on offer here, however, the grooves on the Mizuno MP A303 are more modest than many grooves on the market. Milled directly into the mild carbon steel head, the six grooves are not as deep as some other putter brands even though they produced the majority of our testers with a good balance of feel and performance. 6.4 (out of 10)

Verdict: Not available in the United States so Mizuno isn't exactly touting this putter as a mass market product. Nevertheless, a solid performer that rolls a consistently pure putt and it happens to look decent in the fashion stakes. A little pricey at more than £150 but we couldn't put you off. 17 (out of 25)
