Malbon Golf has confirmed the new signing of two-time PGA Tour winner Garrick Higgo to their roster of players ahead of the 2025 PGA Championship.

Higgo, 26, is competing in his seventh career major at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club this week.

The South African star recently captured his second career title on the PGA Tour.

That came with a gutsy one-shot victory over five players at the Corales Puntacana Championship.

It marked Higgo's first title on the PGA Tour in nearly four years since his first at the 2021 Palmetto Championship.

Higgo first burst on the scene in 2020 when he sealed the first of his three career wins on the DP World Tour.

He won the Open de Portugal by one shot in September 2020.

Higgo then won two events on the circuit in quick succession at the Gran Canaria Lopesan Open in April 2021, two weeks before winning the Canary Islands Championship.

Back in 2021, Higgo had surged to a career-best 38th in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).

But by the end of the 2024 season, Higgo had lost his full playing rights on the PGA Tour.

Higgo dusted himself down, however, and bounced back immediately with a second PGA Tour title at the Corales Puntacana Championship.

Just weeks prior to that win, Higgo was battling his back to form via the lower-tier Korn Ferry Tour.

He was also seen with a very new hairstyle, at least compared to how the majority of PGA Tour fans last remembered him.

Higgo's latest win on the PGA Tour now sees him compete in his first major in three years at the 2025 PGA Championship.

The World No.136 had been seen without an official sponsor when he was victorious at the Corales Puntacana Championship.

But Higgo was kitted out in new Malbon Golf gear during his practice rounds at the PGA Championship this week.

Ahead of the first round of the PGA Championship, Stephan Malbon, the founder of the brand, confirmed a new partnership with Higgo.

Higgo now joins 2015 PGA champion Jason Day on the roster of Malbon Golf players on the PGA Tour.

Malbon also sponsors a number of other stars in the sport, including LPGA superstar Charley Hull

Golf fans have been reacting on social media to the update.

"Genius signing," commented one fan.

"Stellar signing. Up & coming, great personality & one heck of a player," wrote another.

Malbon Golf has certainly raised eyebrows since snapping up Day last season.

Day has been seen wearing a number of wild outfits on the PGA Tour.

One particular outfit even got himself in trouble with officials at Augusta National during The Masters.

Higgo tees off at 9.06am local time on Thursday in the first round of the PGA Championship.

He is joined by Jesse Droemer and John Catlin, who is one of 16 LIV Golf players in the PGA field.
